From mid-September through the end of October, Penn State units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The unifying theme for this year’s observances is “Nuestra Música (Our Music): Identity, Culture and Resistance."
Penn State DuBois students commemorated their achievements with family, friends, faculty and staff during an outdoor ceremony at Heindl Memorial Field on Friday, May 6. Just as Penn Staters brave the weather for football, those in attendance endured the rain to celebrate outstanding academic achievements and the bright futures of the graduates.
The Penn State DuBois business society has helped to raise sustainability awareness this year with their Earth Day 21 Days of Sustainability Challenge. The challenge and Earth Day celebration were the brainchild of the sustainability committee within the business society, a student-run club on campus.
The Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement invites all members of the community to attend “Hypnotic Intoxication,” an event by Keith Karkut, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the Hiller Auditorium on campus. Karkut is an experienced hypnotist that specializes in alcohol awareness education.
The Penn State DuBois baseball team hosted Point Park University on Wednesday, March 16, at Showers Field in a single game match-up. Senior Nolan Walters would get the start for DuBois from the mound, and he would not disappoint, setting the pace for a 6-1 DuBois victory.
All members of the community are invited to a performance by speed painting artist Tom Varano planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois.
The reigning three-time USCAA World Series Champion Penn State DuBois baseball team won their home opener Friday against the Westminster College Titans 16-5.
The North Central PA LaunchBox powered by Penn State DuBois will host an informational event on this year’s BIG Idea Contest on March 17 at the LaunchBox Event Center, in DuBois. Everyone in Centre, Clarion, Clearfield and Jefferson counties is invited to attend the event to learn more about the BIG Idea Contest and how they can enter an idea for a business or product.
Penn State DuBois' THON dancers for 2022, Hannah Allen, Haley Rummel, Elise DuFour and Alena Keen, can rest knowing that they championed efforts resulting in $27,528 raised "For the Kids."
